Lightbreak patterns are precision-etched gobos that work in any standard theatrical fixture. Four steps from box to beam.

Choose your fixture

Lightbreak patterns are designed for ellipsoidal spotlights (Source Four, Shakespeare, etc.) and Fresnels fitted with the i Ring adapter. Any focusable theatrical fixture with a gobo slot will work.

Drop in the pattern

Slide the gobo into the pattern slot with the etched side toward the lamp. Lightbreak patterns are available in three sizes — A, B and M — matched to common fixture mounts.

Focus and shape

Use the fixture's focus knob to take the pattern from a soft wash to a crisp graphic. Shutters trim spill; rotation reframes the image. Stack two patterns for unexpected texture.

Color and intensity

Lightbreak patterns play well with any gel. Try warm amber for tungsten worlds, deep blue for night exteriors, or daylight balance for clean photography work.

The i Ring

The i Ring is a simple adapter that mounts a Lightbreak gobo in front of a Fresnel or PAR — no gobo slot required. It opens the patterns up to film, photo, and architectural lighting where ellipsoidals are impractical.
