Lightbreak is a series of patterns silk-screened onto clear, heavy-duty, heat-resistant Mylar — designed to bring real texture, depth and complexity to any lighting design.

01 — The tool

Bring your own window.

Lighting for the camera is an art crafted to conceal its artistry. Most discussions on set center on contrast — but contrast is only one piece of the puzzle. Beautifully lit images are the result of the artistic manipulation of lighting texture.

Lightbreak patterns are clipped to the barndoors of fresnels or mounted to standard open frames. Black, silk-screened ink lays down as dense as possible — giving you complete control over tonality and shape.

Available in three sizes — 12 × 18, 18 × 24, and 24 × 36 — to match patterns to your fresnel.
