Patterns made for light.

Lightbreak is a small studio designing gobo patterns for theatre, film, photography, and architectural lighting. Every pattern is drawn by hand, refined on stage, and produced as a precision-etched metal gobo built to survive a long night under a hot lamp.

We started Lightbreak because the patterns shipped with most fixtures looked like clip art from another decade. Lighting deserves graphics that respond to focus — patterns that read as soft texture from across a room and as crisp imagery up close.

The catalog is intentionally small. Twenty patterns. Five sets. Three sizes. Designed in San Francisco, manufactured in the United States, and shipped worldwide.
